Nepal Police Headquarters has published a recruitment notice for vacant posts under various sub-groups of the Technical Police Group.

Applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens to fill these posts through open competition in accordance with inclusive provisions.

Candidates applying for the posts of Technical Police Deputy Superintendent, Technical Police Inspector, Technical Police Sub-Inspector, and Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector must submit their applications online through Nepal Police’s Online Recruitment Management System (ORMS).

Application Fee

• Technical Police Deputy Superintendent: Rs. 2,000 through online application submission. For candidates applying in more than one group, an additional 20 percent fee, that is Rs. 400 per group, will apply.

• Technical Police Inspector: Rs. 1,200 through online application submission. For candidates applying in more than one group, an additional 20 percent fee, that is Rs. 240 per group, will apply.

• Technical Police Sub-Inspector: Rs. 700 through online application submission. For candidates applying in more than one group, an additional 20 percent fee, that is Rs. 140 per group, will apply.

• Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector: Rs. 500 through online application submission. For candidates applying in more than one group, an additional 20 percent fee, that is Rs. 100 per group, will apply.

• Technical Police Constable: Rs. 300 must be submitted with the application form. For candidates applying in more than one group, an additional 20 percent fee, that is Rs. 60 per group, will apply.

Age Limit

• Technical Police Deputy Superintendent: Must have completed 23 years of age and not exceeded 35 years by the final date of application registration.

• Technical Police Inspector: Must have completed 20 years of age and not exceeded 32 years by the final date of application registration.

• Technical Police Sub-Inspector: Must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 30 years by the final date of application registration.

• Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector: Must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 28 years by the final date of application registration.

• Technical Police Constable: Must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 23 years by the final date of application registration.

Note:

• For non-gazetted police personnel participating in the open competition for the posts of Technical Police Inspector, Technical Police Sub-Inspector, and Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector, the age must not exceed 35 years and the candidate must have completed basic training.

• For incumbent non-classified police personnel, the age must not exceed 26 years as per Rule 40 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments).

Minimum Qualifications

General Qualifications for Technical Police Deputy Superintendent, Inspector, SI, and ASI

• Criminal Record: Must not have been convicted in any criminal case involving moral turpitude.

• Human Rights Record: Must not have been punished for violation of human rights or humanitarian law.

• Political Affiliation: Must not be a member of a political party.

• Organizational Affiliation: Must not be a member of a terrorist organization.

• Physical Standard for Men: Minimum height 5 feet 2 inches, chest 31–33 inches, weight 50 kg.

• Physical Standard for Women: Minimum height 5 feet, minimum weight 42 kg.

• Eyesight: Must not be weaker than minus 2 or plus 2.

• Medical Fitness: Must obtain a health fitness certificate from an approved physician designated by Nepal Police Headquarters during the examination process.

• Citizenship: Must be a Nepali citizen.

General Qualifications for Technical Police Constable

• Service Record: Must not have been dismissed from service in a way that generally disqualifies a person from future government employment.

• Other Qualifications: Must fulfill the other qualifications specified for Technical Police Deputy Superintendent to Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector under items (a) and (c) to (j).

Information Technology Directorate

1. Technical Police Inspector (Information Technology/Computer): Must have passed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in the related subject from a recognized educational institution, such as Bachelor of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, IT Engineering, or equivalent, and be registered with the related council; or must have passed a bachelor’s degree in the related field such as BSc CSIT, BIT, BCA, or equivalent, and received a 6-month certified training in the related subject from a recognized institution.

2. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Information Technology/Computer): Must have completed a Diploma in Engineering in the related subject from a recognized educational institution.

3. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Information Technology/Computer): Must have passed certificate level from a recognized educational institution and received 3 months of training in the related subject from a recognized institution.

4. Technical Police Constable: Must have passed at least SLC/SEE or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and received a skill certificate of at least one month of training in Information Technology from a recognized training institution.

Communication Directorate

1. Technical Police Inspector (Communication): Must have passed a bachelor’s degree in the related subject from a recognized educational institution, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication, Radio Communication, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electrical and Communication Engineering, or equivalent, and be registered with the related Engineering Council.

2. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Communication): Must have passed diploma or proficiency certificate level in the related subject from a recognized educational institution, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication, Radio Communication, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electrical and Communication Engineering, or equivalent.

3. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Communication): Must have passed SLC/SEE from a recognized educational institution and completed at least an 18-month course in the related subject, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication, Radio Communication, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electrical and Communication Engineering, or equivalent; or must have passed at least certificate level and received 3 months of training in electronics, mobile phone repair, communication equipment repair, or equivalent from a recognized institution; or obtained an equivalent qualification.

4. Technical Police Constable: Must have passed SLC/SEE or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

Physical Infrastructure Directorate

1. Technical Police Inspector (Civil Engineer): Must have a Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related Engineering Council.

2. Technical Police Inspector (Electrical Engineer): Must have a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related Engineering Council.

3. Technical Police Inspector (Building and Architect): Must have a Bachelor in Architecture or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related Engineering Council.

4. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Architect): Must have passed a 3-year Diploma in Architecture, certificate level in Architecture, or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

5. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Civil): Must have passed a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, certificate level in Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

6. Technical Police Constable: Must have passed at least Grade 8 or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and obtained a skill certificate in the related subject, such as carpenter, mason, or painter, from CTEVT or an equivalent institution.

Transport Division

1. Technical Police Inspector (Automobile Engineer): Must have passed a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the Engineering Council.

2. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Automobile): Must have passed certificate level in Mechanical or Automobile from a recognized educational institution, or must have passed SLC and received 3 years of training in the related subject from an institution recognized by CTEVT.

Arms Repair Section

1. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Arms): Must have passed SLC/SEE and completed an 18-month General Mechanics course, or passed proficiency level diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or obtained an equivalent qualification.

2. Technical Police Constable: Must have passed SLC/SEE or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

Central Forensic Science Laboratory

1. Technical Police Inspector (Biology): Must have passed a bachelor’s degree with Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Forensic Science as the major subject from a recognized educational institution.

2. Technical Police Inspector (Chemistry): Must have passed a bachelor’s degree with Chemistry or Forensic Science as the major subject from a recognized educational institution.

3. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Biology): Must have passed certificate level or equivalent with Biology as the major subject from a recognized educational institution.

4. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Chemistry): Must have passed certificate level or equivalent with Biology or Physical Science as the major subject from a recognized educational institution.

Nepal Police Hospital

1. Technical Police Deputy Superintendent (MD Ophthalmologist): Must have obtained an MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized educational institution, passed postgraduate level in Ophthalmology or equivalent, and have specialist registration with the Nepal Medical Council.

2. Technical Police Inspector (Medical Officer MBBS): Must have obtained an MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized educational institution and have specialist registration with the Nepal Medical Council.

3. Technical Police Inspector (Dental Officer): Must have obtained a BDS or equivalent degree from a recognized educational institution and have specialist registration with the Nepal Medical Council.

4. Technical Police Inspector (Physiotherapy Technologist): Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related council.

5. Technical Police Inspector (Dietetics): Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Food and Technology or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

6. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse): Must have passed at least certificate level in Nursing from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the Nepal Nursing Council.

7. Technical Police Sub-Inspector (Pharmacy Assistant): Must have passed certificate level in Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related council.

8. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Physiotherapy Assistant): After passing SLC/SEE, must have passed at least a 15-month CMA/ANM course from a recognized educational institution, be registered with the related council, and have received at least 3 months of training related to Physiotherapy.

9. Technical Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (CMA): After passing SLC/SEE, must have passed at least a 15-month CMA course from a recognized educational institution and be registered with the related council.

10. Technical Police Constable: After passing SLC/SEE or equivalent from a recognized educational institution, must have received at least 3 months of health-related training from a recognized educational institution.

Nepal Police Music School

1. Technical Police Constable: Must have passed at least Grade 8 or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

Documents to Be Attached

• Citizenship Certificate: Nepali citizenship certificate.

• Photo for Online Application Posts: A recently taken full-face photograph clearly showing both ears, in the format and size required by ORMS. For male candidates, beard and hair must be trimmed.

• Photo for Technical Police Constable Applicants: Five copies of the same recently taken passport-size photograph clearly showing the full face and both ears. For male candidates, beard and hair must be trimmed.

• Educational Documents: Certificates of educational qualifications obtained, including character certificate, permanent or provisional certificate, transcript or mark sheet for each level, and in the case of study outside Nepal, equivalency certificate from the competent authority.

• Martyr or Disabled Police Family Category: Documents confirming that the applicant belongs to a martyr or disabled police family, or documents certified by the Government of Nepal.

• Indigenous Nationalities Category: Documents as prescribed under the relevant legal and administrative provisions.

• Madhesi Category: Certificate from the institution specified by the Government of Nepal through publication in the Nepal Gazette; until such an institution is specified, a certificate from the Chief District Officer on the recommendation of the head of the relevant local body.

• Dalit Category: Documents based on the National Dalit Commission list and other required certification where applicable.

• Backward Area Category: Original recommendation letter confirming permanent residence in Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, or Humla, along with citizenship from the same district and certification of permanent residence from the relevant local body.

• Self-Certification for Technical Police Constable Applicants: On the back side of copied documents attached with the application form, the candidate must sign the statement that the copy is correct as per the original.

Note: Candidates applying online must scan the original copies of the required documents and upload them in PDF format as prescribed in the ORMS system. Candidates must also upload their photograph, signature, right and left thumb impressions, and the front and back of the citizenship certificate in JPG format.

Application Submission and Fee Payment Through ORMS

• Registration: Visit https://careers.nepalpolice.gov.np, complete registration, log in using the received username and password, fill in all required details, upload clear scanned copies of all required documents, and submit the application only after the profile is 100 percent complete.

• Fee Payment: After submitting the online application form, the required fee corresponding to the Application ID may be paid online through the government payment portal using Connect IPS, e-Sewa, Khalti, or IME Pay.

• Voucher Deposit Option: The voucher with the transaction code may be downloaded and deposited at the concerned bank having the revenue account for the relevant application collection center.

• Notice Date: Information regarding the schedule for preliminary health examination and physical fitness test will be published on 2083/01/19 at the concerned police offices where the application form is registered, and the same notice will also be placed on the Nepal Police website www.nepalpolice.gov.np.

Special Notice Related to the Advertisement

As per the order issued on 2083/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in petitions including Writ No. 078-WO-0662, in which Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu and others are respondents, after the necessary legal arrangement regarding the inclusive group is made, among the total posts that are maintained, the matter of compensation for the loss that occurred in fiscal year 2079/80, including the posts actually filled on the basis of merit from the inclusive group according to the required ratio, shall be managed in accordance with the legal provision. For the present, this notice has been published to fill the posts according to the prevailing law.

1. 2. Non-Refundable Fee: If an application is not approved or the application form is canceled because the prescribed conditions are not fulfilled, the application fee will not be refunded.

3. Stage-Wise Results: Results will be published after the completion of each stage of the examination, and only successful candidates will be allowed to participate in the next stage.

4. Additional Vacancies: As per Sub-rule 5 of Rule 13 of the Police Regulations, 2071 with amendments, if additional vacancies arise after publication of the advertisement by the Recruitment Committee and before publication of the written examination result, those numbers may also be added by publishing a public notice.

5. Notice and Syllabus: Information related to this advertisement and the syllabus of the examinations to be conducted at different stages can also be obtained from the Nepal Police website www.nepalpolice.gov.np.

6. Open and Inclusive Competition: During the examination, the same examination will be conducted for both open and inclusive groups, and candidates under the inclusive group will compete separately among themselves on the basis of the marks they obtain.

7. Application Cancellation: Application forms that do not fulfill the prescribed conditions may be canceled at any time.

8. Documents at Each Stage: Candidates must carry the admit card and the original citizenship certificate when appearing in each stage of the examination.

For Online Application Posts

1. Compulsory Upload: When submitting the online application, original scanned copies of the required certificates must be uploaded compulsorily. The candidate will be personally responsible for the certificates submitted.

2. Grounds for Cancellation: Applications not submitted within the prescribed time, not meeting the conditions, filled improperly, or submitted without payment of the application fee may be canceled at any time.

3. Record Update: Among candidates who submitted applications through the ORMS system within the application period, if required details and documents are incomplete, a notice will be published on the Nepal Police website for record update. Candidates who do not update the missing documents within the specified time will have their application form automatically canceled.

4. Documents at Interview: When coming for the interview, the candidate must bring the original required certificates and documents mentioned in the application, along with self-certified copies stating that the copy is correct as per the original.

5. Tutorial Video: An informational tutorial video related to online application submission can be viewed on the official YouTube channel of Nepal Police.

For Technical Police Constable

1. Single Center Rule: The applicant must register the application form from only one center. If duplicate registration is found, the application form will be canceled.

2. Personal Presence: When submitting the application, the candidate must appear in person with the original certificates.

3. Form Download: The application form can be downloaded from the Nepal Police website www.nepalpolice.gov.np and submitted to the designated office with the required documents attached.
