Institutional Background

Aishwarya Multiple Campus was established through the participation of local intellectuals, guardians, educational stakeholders, and members of the community. Its foundation was connected with a local need for accessible higher education in Dhangadhi and the surrounding region.

The campus began with the B.Sc. program in 2063 BS and introduced the BBS program in 2064 BS. It later expanded its academic provision by introducing the MBS program, adding postgraduate management education to its existing bachelor’s programs.

Aishwarya Vidya Niketan, a Sarbajanik Saikshik Guthi, contributed to the establishment and physical development of the campus. AMC initially conducted its academic activities by using existing school buildings. Aishwarya Vidya Niketan later provided ten kattha of land for campus infrastructure, enabling AMC to develop its own institutional space.

The campus has also received support from the University Grants Commission, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, local bodies, guardians, and other stakeholders. This pattern of participation reflects its community-campus structure and its reliance on shared institutional responsibility.

AMC’s development has remained connected with access, affordability, local educational needs, and the expansion of science and management education. The campus identifies the provision of science education for economically disadvantaged students as an important part of its institutional purpose.

Location and Service Area

The campus is situated in Hasanpur within Ward No. 5 of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, Kailali. Its location allows students from Dhangadhi and nearby areas to pursue Tribhuvan University-affiliated higher education in science and management.

As a community campus, AMC is closely connected with guardians, local educational stakeholders, public bodies, and social organizations. This relationship influences its institutional planning, infrastructure development, student activities, and community programs.

The campus location also supports academic activities that require engagement outside the classroom. Field visits, industrial observation, management tours, community programs, environmental activities, and institutional visits form part of the wider learning environment.

Vision

AMC’s vision is to develop the campus as an educational destination supported by a comprehensive and integrated learning network and to contribute to useful and quality-oriented education.

The vision connects academic development with wider educational and social needs. It also places importance on institutional growth, learning resources, access to education, and the development of an environment in which students can engage with both academic knowledge and practical learning.

Mission

The mission of AMC is to serve students, communities, and the region through affordable, accessible, academic, and career-oriented education. It also connects education with corporate governance, social responsibility, environmental concerns, scientific research, and ethical principles.

The mission positions the campus as both an academic institution and a community-oriented organization. Its emphasis includes responsible institutional conduct, educational access, research awareness, and sensitivity to social and environmental concerns.

Core Values and Norms

AMC identifies excellence, lifelong learning, diversity and respect, sustainability, collaboration, service, and community involvement as its core values and norms.

These values support an institutional approach that combines academic work with social responsibility. Lifelong learning relates to continued intellectual and professional development, while diversity and respect address the need for an inclusive campus environment.

Sustainability is reflected in the campus’s environmental activities and development planning. Collaboration, service, and community involvement are visible in its relationship with local bodies, guardians, social organizations, and educational stakeholders.

The campus also applies an Innovation–Incubation–Research–and–Entrepreneurship-oriented learning approach. This approach includes interactive discussion of core concepts, systematic work on lecture-level and applied problems, and summaries of key learning outcomes.

Research-driven teaching and community-oriented inquiry are also part of the academic direction. These practices connect classroom knowledge with research questions, practical situations, and community needs.

Research and Academic Administration

The Research Management Cell supports research-related activities within the campus. Its role is linked with research culture, project work, faculty participation, academic inquiry, and the development of research-oriented teaching practices.

The Exam Cell supports internal examination administration and coordination. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell contributes to institutional review, quality processes, and academic improvement.

The Education Management Information System Cell supports records, information management, reporting, and administrative coordination. These units help separate important academic and administrative responsibilities while maintaining coordination across the institution.

The campus has also identified faculty research, interdisciplinary collaboration, advanced study, and research incentives as areas for continued institutional development.

Campus Facilities and Learning Resources

The playground and sports materials provide space and equipment for physical activities and student events. The campus also has a generator that supports lighting, fans, and essential academic functions during interruptions to the electricity supply.

Scholarships and Educational Access

AMC has a total scholarship provision of 12 percent under its rules and regulations. Half of the scholarship allocation is designated for underprivileged students, while the remaining half is allocated to academically meritorious and economically disadvantaged students.

The scholarship provision supports the community-campus objective of improving access to higher education. It is particularly relevant to students who may face economic barriers while pursuing bachelor’s or master’s study.

The campus’s wider access-oriented approach is also reflected in its aim to make science education available at a manageable cost for poor and disadvantaged students.

Educational tours, guest lectures, sports, inter-campus programs, and awareness activities provide additional opportunities for participation. These activities involve students in communication, collaboration, observation, and social engagement.

Community Engagement and Social Responsibility

Community involvement is part of AMC’s institutional identity. The campus works with students, local organizations, guardians, educational stakeholders, and social groups on environmental, health, awareness, and service-related activities.

Plantation and environmental sensitization programs have been conducted on the campus and at tourism and religious sites. These activities connect environmental awareness with practical community participation.

Blood donation programs are organized with support from the AMC Youth Red Cross. Student organizations have also participated in inter-campus games and provincial-level volleyball activities.

Awareness programs address environmental responsibility, drug-abuse prevention, and gender-based violence. Students take part in these activities as part of the campus’s relationship with the wider community.

The campus has also contributed to temples and social institutions through periodic donations. Community members, local bodies, educational stakeholders, and individual contributors have supported the development of campus facilities and activities.

Strategic Priorities

AMC’s strategic areas include infrastructure development, quality improvement, financial sustainability, diversity management, program growth, community involvement, technology and information management, institutional relationships, human-resource management, and public visibility.

Development planning includes further digitalization of campus systems, expansion of education-management information systems, stronger student attendance, an increased endowment fund, and continued efforts to obtain grant support.

The campus has also identified academic partnerships, faculty and student exchange, collaborative research, joint academic activities, interdisciplinary work, and support for faculty pursuing advanced qualifications as areas for development.

Infrastructure planning includes the effective use of academic space, examination facilities, canteen management, and buildings for possible future programs. Financial planning includes cost management, fundraising, alumni participation, local support, workshops, short courses, and community-based activities.
