Second-year study covers Nursing Concept and Theories, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing-II, Medical Sociology/Anthropology and Geriatric Nursing. Post-Basic Bachelor of Nursing Science

BMI has offered post-basic bachelor nursing education since 2005 AD for students who have completed PCL Nursing. The Purbanchal University Post-Basic Bachelor of Nursing Science curriculum runs for three years.

The first year combines health sciences with nursing subjects including Medical-Surgical Nursing-I, Nursing Concept and Theories, Pediatric Nursing and Medical Sociology/Anthropology. Professional English is also included.

Second-year study covers Midwifery-I, Community Health Nursing-I, Psychiatric Nursing-I, Educational Science, Epidemiology, Geriatric Nursing and Applied Computer Technology.

The third year moves into Leadership and Management, Research and Biostatistics in Nursing, Oncology Nursing and an elective area. Elective options in the curriculum include Community Health Nursing-II, Midwifery-II, Medical-Surgical Nursing-II and Psychiatric Nursing-II.

PCL Nursing

PCL Nursing provides certificate-level preparation for nursing practice through the CTEVT framework. The curriculum runs for three academic years on a yearly system.

The first year concentrates on nursing fundamentals, community health and basic sciences. The second year moves into medical-surgical nursing, geriatric nursing, behavioral science and mental health nursing, community health and social studies.
