Overview

Chamunda College was established in 2007 AD and is a community-owned college located in Chamunda, Bindrasaini, Dailekh district, Karnali Pardesh of Nepal. It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and recognized by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. It offers Bachelor's programs in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.). It provides quality education along with various facilities, such as a library, a laboratory, and a scholarship program.

Education is a powerful light that helps individuals move away from superstition and harmful traditions toward a positive path in life. With a commitment to the idea that an educated society contributes to the transformation of the entire nation, a broad meeting of political leaders, activists, social workers, intellectuals, education enthusiasts, and respected guardians from this area was held on 2064 Mangsir 28 at Shree Chamunda Secondary School, Hadakot.

In this gathering, a formal decision was made to establish a campus in the region. Under the leadership of Mr. Hark Bahadur Shahi, a resident of Chamunda Bindrasaini-4, Dailekh—himself a political figure, social worker, and education supporter—a preliminary infrastructure committee was formed to begin the official process of founding the campus.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of this committee and relevant stakeholders, Tribhuvan University granted temporary affiliation to the campus on 2065 Falgun 25. The affiliation letter stated that classes would be conducted in the subjects of English, Nepali, and Population Studies at the Bachelor's level. As a result, in the academic year 2065/066, the college officially began academic operations with 52 students filling out exam application forms for the first year of the B.Ed. Program.

Despite several ups and downs, the college has now entered its tenth year since its establishment.
