MEGA College International is a higher education institution established in 2024 in Kumaripati, Lalitpur, Bagmati Province, Nepal. The college operates with an academic focus on management, computer science, and information technology through programs affiliated with Far Western University.

Academic Programs

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology is a four-year program divided into eight semesters. Students must complete 137 credit hours.

The curriculum begins with subjects such as English Grammar and Composition, Information Technology Fundamentals, Calculus and Analytical Geometry, Electronic Principles, and Programming Fundamentals and C Programming. Students then progress to data structures, digital logic, microprocessor systems, computer architecture, operating systems, database management, networking, object-oriented programming, and the theory of computation.

Advanced semesters cover Artificial Intelligence, compiler design, software engineering, cryptography, web technology, simulation and modelling, graphics and visual computing, e-commerce, parallel computing, and advanced Java programming. The program also includes minor projects and a four-credit internship.

Students can select electives from programming, database, networking, and algorithmic areas. Available subjects include database administration, data mining and warehousing, enterprise application development with Java, network administration, wireless networks, cloud computing, information retrieval, embedded system programming, and human-computer interaction.

The academic sequence can be viewed through six stages:

5. Projects and internship

6. Completion of the eight-semester curriculum

Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration is a two-year program divided into four semesters, carrying 60 credits. It is designed for graduate-level study in management and combines foundation courses, core business subjects, concentration courses, an internship, seminars, workshops, and a thesis.

The first two semesters cover managerial communication, managerial economics, organizational behaviour, marketing management, business ethics, managerial accounting, financial reporting, financial management, international business, human resource management, and management information systems.

During the later semesters, students study business research methods, operations and supply chain management, entrepreneurship, e-business, strategic management, and selected concentration subjects. Concentration areas are available in:

• Marketing

• Accounting

• Human Resource Management

The MBA includes an internship of approximately six to eight weeks. Students complete field-based work, prepare an internship report, and undertake a thesis involving empirical study. Thesis evaluation includes a written report and viva voce.

The general MBA progression includes admission, management foundations, core business study, concentration courses, internship, thesis work, and completion of the four-semester program.

Teaching and Academic Development

The two programs address different academic and professional interests. B.Sc. CSIT students work through programming, systems, databases, networking, software, projects, and internship components. MBA students study business functions, organizational decision-making, research, strategic management, concentration subjects, internship work, and thesis preparation.

Assignments, presentations, group activities, projects, seminars, workshops, internal assessments, and semester-end examinations form part of the academic process. These components allow students to engage with subjects beyond lectures while developing written, analytical, technical, communication, and research abilities.
