BALLB program

The BALLB program brings together legal studies and subjects from the arts and social sciences. This combination helps students examine law within its social, political, economic, and institutional settings.

The program includes the study of jurisprudence, constitutional law, criminal law, procedural law, contract law, human rights, international law, legal research, legal reasoning, cybercrime, intellectual property law, lawyering ethics, trial advocacy, and legal drafting. Related subjects in sociology, political thought, economics, management, and language support a broader understanding of legal institutions and public affairs.

The curriculum also contains practical components linked to justice institutions, legal awareness, civil and criminal advocacy, case-document preparation, and interaction with lawyers and prosecutors. These activities connect academic study with the procedures and responsibilities involved in legal work.

Practical legal training

Moot court is one of the main practical activities at Mega Law College. Through simulated hearings, students practise preparing legal arguments, presenting cases, responding to questions, and applying procedural rules in a courtroom setting.

Other practical learning activities include:

  • Legal research workshops

  • Judicial internships

  • Corporate legal internships

  • Community legal services

  • Legal aid activities

  • Debates and legal presentations

  • Civil and criminal case drafting

  • Interaction with legal professionals

These activities allow students to work with legal language, case analysis, research methods, argument development, and professional communication alongside regular classroom study.

Faculty guidance and mentorship

Mega Law College has experienced faculty members who provide academic instruction, mentoring, and continued guidance. The mentorship system supports students as they work through legal concepts, research assignments, practical exercises, and academic requirements.

Guest lectures by legal professionals and subject specialists supplement regular classes. Such sessions introduce students to different areas of legal practice, institutional procedures, professional conduct, and issues encountered in the legal field.

Faculty support is particularly relevant in a five-year integrated program, where students study law together with social sciences, language, research, drafting, and advocacy.

Orientation and counselling

The college conducts orientation and counselling sessions to help students understand the academic structure of the BALLB program. Entrance-related guidance covers examination modality, question patterns, marking arrangements, and preparation approaches.

Academic orientation introduces the university syllabus, classroom methods, practical activities, projects, and other teaching approaches used during the program. Students also receive information about the college, its academic activities, faculty support, and practical learning opportunities.

Career counselling helps students consider legal fields in relation to their interests, strengths, and future plans. It also provides guidance on academic preparation and the different directions available within legal education.

Facilities and learning resources

Mega Law College provides classrooms, library resources, and technological facilities to support its academic activities. These resources are used for lectures, reading, legal research, presentations, workshops, and moot court preparation.

Library and research access are important parts of law study because students work with legislation, legal principles, court decisions, case materials, and academic commentary. Classroom and technological resources also support guest sessions, group discussions, presentations, and practical exercises.

Eligibility for BALLB admission

Applicants are expected to meet one of the following academic requirements:

  • Minimum C+ GPA or 50% in all subjects
