Mega Law College

Mega Law College was established in 2024 AD in Kumaripati, Lalitpur, Bagmati Province. The institution focuses on legal education and offers the five-year Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws (BALLB) program. It is affiliated with Purbanchal University and Rajarshi Janak University (RJU).

The college combines classroom instruction with practical legal activities, including moot court exercises, legal research workshops, internships, debates, and community legal services. Faculty guidance, counselling, and academic orientation are also part of the learning environment.

BALLB program

The BALLB program brings together legal studies and subjects from the arts and social sciences. This combination helps students examine law within its social, political, economic, and institutional settings.

The program includes the study of jurisprudence, constitutional law, criminal law, procedural law, contract law, human rights, international law, legal research, legal reasoning, cybercrime, intellectual property law, lawyering ethics, trial advocacy, and legal drafting. Related subjects in sociology, political thought, economics, management, and language support a broader understanding of legal institutions and public affairs.

The curriculum also contains practical components linked to justice institutions, legal awareness, civil and criminal advocacy, case-document preparation, and interaction with lawyers and prosecutors. These activities connect academic study with the procedures and responsibilities involved in legal work.

Practical legal training

Moot court is one of the main practical activities at Mega Law College. Through simulated hearings, students practise preparing legal arguments, presenting cases, responding to questions, and applying procedural rules in a courtroom setting.

Applicants are expected to meet one of the following academic requirements:

• Minimum C+ GPA or 50% in all subjects

• 3.5 GCE for A-Level students
