The final part of the course includes three months of On the Job Training (OJT), equivalent to 12 weeks, 72 working days, or 480 hours. OJT takes place after students have attended the final examination and is arranged through the institute. It gives trainees workplace-based exposure related to the skills studied during the course.
Theory and practical subjects use both internal assessment and final examination. The program has three internal assessments and one final examination in each subject.

OJT pass mark: 60%
Students must pass each internal assessment before appearing in the final examination. OJT is evaluated separately and carries 300 full marks.
Students who successfully complete the program requirements receive the Technical School Leaving Certificate in Survey Engineering from CTEVT.
