Overview
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) at Dhulabari Campus
The BBS program at Dhulabari Campus is designed for students who want to build a future in business, management, or entrepreneurship. Offered under Tribhuvan University, this four-year course provides students with a solid foundation in core business subjects, including accounting, finance, marketing, and organizational management, while also helping them understand how real businesses operate in the Nepali and global contexts.
Whether you're planning to manage a business, start one, or continue your studies in the future, BBS provides the tools to take that next step.
Program Duration and Structure
This is a four-year bachelor’s degree based on an annual examination system. Each year, students study a combination of compulsory, core, and specialized courses, all of which are set by the Faculty of Management at TU. In the final year, students also complete a project report based on fieldwork.
The classroom calendar spans at least 150 teaching days per year, featuring regular lectures, group discussions, and writing assignments. The final exams are conducted annually by TU.
What You’ll Study
Over the four years, students study subjects like:
-
Business English and Communication
-
Business Statistics and Economics
-
Principles of Management
-
Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting
-
Marketing, Finance, and Taxation
-
Entrepreneurship and Research Methods
In the final year, students choose an area of focus—Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or General Management—based on their interests and career goals. They also conduct a real-world research project and present their findings in a written report.
Who Can Apply?
If you've completed your Grade 12 (10+2) or equivalent, you're eligible to apply. It doesn’t matter whether your background is in management, science, or humanities, as long as your academic performance meets the minimum entry criteria set by TU and the campus.

Exams and Grading
Final exams are held once a year, as per Tribhuvan University’s system. Students must have at least 70% class attendance to be eligible for the award. The grading system is based on marks—first division starts at 60%, and distinction at 75%.
Along with written exams, students in the final year also submit a field-based project and appear in a viva (oral presentation).
