The CTEVT CMLT entry route also includes TSLC in Medical Laboratory Technology with a minimum of 68.33 percent. Applicants must pass the entrance examination administered by CTEVT.
For examinations conducted before the letter grading system, applicants may qualify through SLC or an equivalent examination with compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science in at least second division, or 45 percent marks in total, or through SLC plus relevant Technical SLC with 68.33 percent marks.
Evaluation, Certification, and Professional Path
The program uses internal assessment and final examination for theory and practical components. Students need to complete the internal assessment requirements before appearing in the final examination. The pass marks are 40 percent in theory and 50 percent in practical.
Students who pass all components of all subjects across the three years are awarded the Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology. Graduates are eligible for the position equivalent to non-gazette 1st class/Level 5 technical level as prescribed by the Public Service Commission of Nepal and other related agencies.
