The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program at Shivaganj Multiple Campus, affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU), is designed to prepare qualified educators for Nepal’s evolving secondary education system.
This four-year annual program integrates both academic theory and practical training, allowing students to specialize in two distinct subject areas—one as a major and one as a minor.

The B.Ed. program aims to produce capable teachers who can teach two subjects at the secondary level with confidence, competence, and professional integrity. The curriculum is crafted to support both educational foundations and subject-specific pedagogy, addressing real classroom challenges in the Nepali context.
The four-year B.Ed. program consists of 22 comprehensive courses categorized into the following groups:
Group A: Communication Skills (2 courses)
General Nepali
General English
Group B: Professional Core (4 courses)
Foundations of Education
Educational Psychology
Curriculum and Evaluation
Elective: Instructional Technology / ICT in Education / ICT in Specialized Subject
Group C: Specialization Major (10 courses)
Students select one area such as:
Nepali Education
English Education
Mathematics Education
Science Education (Physical Science)
Population Education
Health and Physical Education
History, Political Science, Geography, or Economics Education
Group D: Specialization Minor (5 courses)
A second subject area, different from the major, from the same list (Biology minor mandatory for Physical Science majors)
Group E: Teaching Practice (1 course)
Practical internship and school teaching practice
To be eligible for the B.Ed. program, applicants must have:
Passed Grade 12 or equivalent (10+2 or PCL)
Additional subject-specific criteria (e.g., 200 marks in the major subject for Nepali/Math, or a science background for Science Education)
All applicants must meet the specialization criteria set by Tribhuvan University and Shivagunj Multiple Campus.
Graduates of the B.Ed. program will:
Be qualified to teach two subjects in secondary schools

Be prepared for further studies in education or teaching-related professions
