Blood Donation and Mini-Marathon Event Held at Bhadrakali Secondary School in Pokhara's 71st Anniversary

The 71st anniversary of Bhadrakali Secondary School was celebrated with a blood donation program and a mini-marathon in Pokhara Metropolitan City 13 Kundahar. The blood donation program, which was held in the school courtyard, collected 43 units of blood. The program was inaugurated by Arjun Gyawali, the Head of Nepal Red Cross Society Regional Office Blood Transfusion Services Pokhara, who gave blood bags to the first donors, Shukraraj Adhikari and Shanti KC. The event was conducted by Sheela Gurung and coordinated by assistant principal Lokchandra Khanal. The program was presided over by Bhadrakali Secondary School Management Committee Chairman Lok Bahadur Karki, and the school principal Rajendra Bhandari and others spoke at the event.

The anniversary celebrations also included a mini-marathon, which was held the following day. The competition was divided into two categories: senior and junior. Pritam Gurung, studying in humanities class 12, stood first in the senior men's category, followed by Bhim Bahadur Gurung of class 12 humanities and Santosh Vick of education 12. In the junior men's category, Ashish Nepali of Class 9 stood first, Safal Nepali of Class 8 stood second, and Ganga Bahadur Gurung stood third. Balkumari Vick studying in class 11 came first in the women's marathon, followed by Riya Tamang of class 9 and Apsara Gurung of class 6.

The winners were awarded certificates and medals, with first place receiving 3,000, second place receiving 2,000, and third place receiving 1,000. The event was coordinated by Pritam Kumar Shrestha.

Bhadrakali is celebrating its 71st anniversary and Parents' Day on February 20 under the chief hospitality of Gandaki Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari. The celebrations included a blood donation program and a mini-marathon, both of which were well-received by the participants and attendees. The event highlighted the importance of donating blood and staying fit, healthy, and active.
