The fourth international “Applications of Mathematics to Nonlinear Sciences” conference has been organized in Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok, with the objective of discussing new research related to mathematics. The official conference page identifies the event as AMNS-2026.
The conference has been organized by the Association of Nepalese Mathematicians in America, Nepal Mathematical Society, and the Central Department of Mathematics, Tribhuvan University.
Conference coordinator and Tribhuvan University Prof. Dr. Parameshwari Kattel said the conference will discuss new research among established and young scientists working in mathematics, mathematics education, and fields where mathematics is applied, such as natural and social sciences, engineering, health, finance, and statistics.
He said the conference would help establish national and international collaboration in mathematics education and encourage young scientists and students toward research.
Another conference coordinator, Prof. Dr. Harihar Khanal of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, said the conference aims to discuss research conducted in mathematics education.
According to him, such conferences had previously been organized three times in Nepal. He said the conference would discuss research being carried out in mathematics around the world and that the two best research papers would be published after the conference.
He also said the conference would help promote Nepal’s tourism.
Nepal Mathematical Society Treasurer and Kathmandu University Associate Professor Dr. Saraswati Acharya said 220 mathematics researchers, policymakers, professors, and students from Nepal and various other countries are participating in the conference.
The co-organizers of the conference are Mathematics Society, Kathmandu University; Nepal Statistical Society; and the Council for Mathematics Education.
