11th February 2023, Saturday, Gyanubaba Secondary Boarding School in Mirua celebrated its 39th anniversary by hosting Parents' Day and a variety of cultural programs. Narayan Prasad Subedi, Head of Education Development and Coordination Unit Kaski, inaugurated the ceremony by emphasizing the need for everyone's cooperation to advance education. He attributed the continuous journey of Gyanubaba to the dedication of the school director, teachers, and staff.
At the event, the school honored several notable individuals, including social activist Nand Kumari Gurung, National Women's Volleyball Team Captain Aruna Shahi, Shanti Gurung, Director of Miss UK Nepal, School Teacher Deepa Dahal, Shant Ghale, and Purna Kumari Ghale. The school also distributed awards to students from the academic session 2076 to 2078, and 25 students were honored by Akshaya Kosh of the school.
Several other prominent figures, such as Diwasman Pradhanang, President of Pokhara Ward 1, Mathura Paudel, Pabson Kaski President, Khagendraraj Parajuli, social worker, and Dhoj Kumar Gurung, Vice President of Provincial Sports Council Gandaki, discussed the school's contribution to the field of sports and education.
During the event, School Principal Shubhkanya Gurung presented the school's progress report and future plans, while Krishna Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of the School Management Committee, presided over the program. Teacher Suraj Sapkota and student Priya Shrestha welcomed the attendees, and Baburam Subedi conducted the program. The students also showcased various cultural programs and presented their art, providing entertainment to the attendees.
