The Higher Educational Institutions and Secondary Schools Association (HISSAN), Sunsari, is beginning the 12th edition of the HISSAN Sports Meet from Thursday (Magh 15, 2082).
The sports meet will run until Magh 28.
HISSAN Sunsari held a press conference in Itahari on Wednesday.
Organizing Committee Chair Sagar Bhattarai said that more than 25 institutions will participate. He said there will be 34 games across 11 disciplines for Grades 11 and 12 as well as the college level.
According to him, the sports meet will be taken as a sports festival in the spirit of friendship and fair competition among institutions.
Prizes for winners
Winners of all sports except football will be awarded a trophy, medal, and certificate.
For the football competition:

The winner will receive cash 30,000, along with a shield and certificate.

The runner-up will receive cash 15,000, along with a shield and certificate.
Football tournament schedule and venue
Organizing Committee Coordinator Subas Luitel said the football competition will be held from Magh 18 to Magh 28 at the Budhasubba playground in Itahari Ward No. 3.
He said the competition will be conducted in the Under-19 category in accordance with FIFA and ANFA national standards.
The tournament will be operated with technical support from Rastriya Jagriti Club, Itahari.
Sports Meet continuity and school-level events
HISSAN Sunsari has been conducting the Sports Meet every year continuously since 2069.
It was also informed that the program includes events at the school level. Coordinator Luitel said the school-level program includes 41 games across 10 disciplines.
