International Tax Conference to Be Held in Kathmandu (Nov 18-21, 2025)
An international tax conference is going to be held in Kathmandu from Mangsir 2 to 5, organized by the Nepal Chamber of Tax Consultants.
Informing about the event at a press conference held on Thursday, President of the organizing institution Roshan Pokharel stated that the conference is being organized with the objectives of tax education and capacity development, policy dialogue and advocacy with government agencies, and research and reform in the field of taxation.
He said that the conference will mainly focus on showcasing the developed state of Nepal’s tax system, connecting Nepali tax professionals with international experts, and promoting Nepal as a “MICE” destination. According to him, the conference will see the participation of 350 international delegates and more than 200 Nepali tax professionals, policymakers, government officials, businesspersons, and experts.
Expected Outcomes and International Cooperation
The conference is expected to enhance the capacity of tax and finance professionals in Nepal, promote the exchange and communication of international practices in tax policy and compliance, and contribute to the promotion of direct foreign investment in Nepal.
President Pokharel stated that the event will also support the expansion of international cooperation in the areas of taxation and investment.

Special Seminar on Transfer Pricing
As a major highlight of the conference, a four-hour seminar on “Practical Aspects of Transfer Pricing” will be organized on Mangsir 5 in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Department.
Coordination and Institutional Background
The conference will be conducted in coordination with the Asia–Oceania Tax Consultants’ Association.
The Nepal Chamber of Tax Consultants was established in 2018. The institution has been working in Nepal on policy studies related to taxation, promotion of tax experts, analysis of prevailing international tax practices, institutional development of tax professionals, and cooperation and coordination with tax-related bodies.
