
PAN to Organize 2nd National Summit on Jestha 23–24 in Pokhara
Principals Association Nepal (PAN) is set to organize its Second National Summit on 2082 Jestha 23 and 24 in Pokhara, following its annual policy of hosting theme-based national conferences in different provinces each year.
PAN President Sudam Gautam stated that the summit aims to develop new perspectives and directions for leadership in education. He emphasized that the conference seeks to support transformational change in community schools and foster a platform for learning from good practices implemented by school principals.
According to Gautam, the summit will not focus on demands for rights but rather on promoting quality schools, promoting accountability, and encouraging the exchange of best practices among headteachers.

PAN Award 2082 to Be Presented at the Summit
As part of the national summit, the PAN Award 2082 will be presented. According to President Gautam, the awards will be given to:

One outstanding basic-level and one secondary-level school from each province

One outstanding basic-level and one secondary-level principal from each province
-
One outstanding municipality or rural municipality from each province
-
One outstanding metropolitan or sub-metropolitan city from across the country
Fair Selection Process Based on 25 Criteria
The award selection committee, led by education expert Prof. Dr. Bidyanath Koirala, was formed to ensure a fair and independent selection process.
According to PAN, schools, municipalities, and principals across Nepal were invited to submit applications via offline and online platforms. Final selections were made based on submitted recommendations and additional information collected by the committee, applying 25 defined criteria for evaluation.
