Poet Ravi Giri’s ‘Shantiko Khoj’ Released

Poet Ravi Giri’s poetry collection ‘Shantiko Khoj’ has been released.

The book was jointly unveiled by Madan Puraskar-winning literary figure Yubaraj Newa Ghare, Purnima Sahitya Pratisthan Chairperson Dr. Pushkar Rijal, and two academicians, Mahananda Dhakal and Shashiram Karki.

Key Remarks at the Program

Speaking at the program, chief guest Newa Ghare said the Kohalpur area has become fertile ground for literary activities. He stated that Purnima Sahitya Pratisthan has been playing a notable role in introducing new creators at the national level.

He also praised the institution’s continued literary engagement.

Literary figure Sagar Gaire presented a detailed introduction of the book and the poet.

Creator Dialogue Program

Along with the book launch, a “Srashta Samvad” (creator dialogue) program was also held. During the session, literary figure Yubaraj Newa Ghare shared remarks about his literary experiences and writing style.

He said that although the Lumbini and Karnali regions are vast reservoirs of language, literature, and folk culture, much work still remains to be done.

Newa Ghare also said that essays and travel writing should not be dry descriptions but rather engaging expressions of lived experience, and that an essay can become excellent when it is able to incorporate small, everyday life experiences.

Remarks from Purnima Sahitya Pratisthan

Purnima Sahitya Pratisthan Chairperson Dr. Rijal said Newa Ghare’s essays are original, experimental, simple, and distinctive.

He added that Newa Ghare’s writings reflect linguistic skill and a captivating beauty of Nepali ethnic identity.
