
Scientific Writing Ethics Training Concludes at Pokhara University
A two-day faculty development training titled Scientific Writing and Publication Ethics, organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Pokhara University, concluded today at Mattikhan Mount View Resort, Pokhara, Kaski.
The training was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Bishnu Raj Tiwari. In the opening session, he emphasized the importance of research-based knowledge for effective teaching. He expressed his belief that this training would support both teaching and learning, while also helping improve academic mindset and classroom engagement.
Remarks by Founding Dean Dr. Khemraj Joshi
Speaking at the event, Pokhara University assembly member and founding dean of the faculty, Associate Prof. Dr. Khemraj Joshi, shared that faculty development training helps enhance essential skills among educators. He noted that such programs contribute to making teaching and learning more accessible and meaningful. He added that teachers should not limit their influence to the classroom but also become sources of inspiration for society.
Thoughts from Former Dean Dr. Amar Nagila
Former Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Associate Prof. Dr. Amar Nagila, stated that the teaching profession comes with both dignity and challenges. He stressed that faculty members should focus not only on teaching but also on research, and that research should be integrated into classroom instruction. He expressed appreciation to the current dean for continuing the initiative he had started.
