Film Development Board Nepal Call for Proposals: Indigenous Mother-Tongue Films
To support the development, expansion, promotion, and preservation of indigenous and Janajati mother-tongue films, and to enhance the capacity and skills of film workers involved in this sector, film-related associations and institutions that wish to run suitable programs are invited to submit proposals.
Such programs must contribute to the development, expansion, promotion, and upliftment of indigenous and Janajati mother-tongue films. Interested film-related associations or institutions should fill in the application form in the format approved by the Board and submit their proposal to the Board’s office within 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of this notice.
This notice is published in accordance with Section 5 of the Procedures Relating to Indigenous, Janajati, Mother-Tongue Film Promotion, 2081, for the information of all concerned.
In the current fiscal year, the Film Development Board is moving ahead with the main slogan “Skilled Film Workers for a Prosperous Film Sector.” As 2082 has been taken as a year of skill enhancement, special priority will be given to proposals for training, seminars, workshops, and similar programs that help to build the skills and capacity of film workers.

Conditions

Programs must support the development, expansion, promotion, and capacity/skill enhancement of indigenous and Janajati mother-tongue films.

The proposal must clearly state which groups or sectors will benefit from the program.

The proposal must mention the expected number of participants in the program.

The proposal must specify the date(s) and venue where the program will be conducted.

The proposal must include the qualifications and experience of the program’s resource persons and trainers. (Resource persons/trainers must be related to the subject area of the program.)

If any program has previously been conducted with the support or cooperation of the Board, the proposal must include a brief description of how that program contributed to the promotion and development of indigenous and Janajati mother-tongue films.

The proposal must clarify how the program will be continued and the planned duration of the program.

The proposal must provide clear details on whether or not any financial assistance has been received from the Board during the last three fiscal years.
Documents to Be Submitted with the Application

The following documents must be submitted along with the application:
a) A copy of the organization registration certificate and its renewal.
b) A copy of the certificate of registration for tax purposes.
c) A copy of the tax clearance certificate up to the previous fiscal year.
d) In the case of a program to be conducted jointly by more than one association or institution, a copy of the agreement between the concerned associations/institutions.
e) A copy of the decision of the concerned institution regarding the implementation of the program.
f) If approval is required from any other authority, a copy of the approval letter obtained from that authority.
g) A written proposal clearly stating the objectives, targets, and expected outcomes of the program.
h) A cost estimate showing each budget heading for the program expenses.
Decision and Other Conditions

The Board reserves full authority to approve, partially approve, or reject any proposal without stating any reason.

Each page of the proposal documents must be signed by the proposer and bear the official seal of the organization.

Proposals that do not meet the required procedures or that are submitted after the deadline will not be processed.
