Shanti Basic School Holds 69th Anniversary and Parents’ Day
Pokhara, Magh 10 — The 69th anniversary, Parents’ Day, and prize distribution ceremony of Shanti Basic School, located in Sisuwa, Pokhara Metropolitan City–30, has been successfully concluded.
The program was organized under the chairpersonship of School Management Committee Chairperson Gangaram Timilsina, and it was inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Durgaprasad Subedi.
Ward Chairperson Highlights the School’s Importance
Chief guest Subedi stated that Shanti Basic School is a matter of pride for the ward. He emphasized that development in other sectors is impossible without the development of education, and shared that the ward has been taking initiatives to improve educational quality.
Inauguration of Infrastructure Built in Memory of Family Members
On the occasion, Ward Chairperson Subedi inaugurated an entrance gate constructed by local residents Janaki Kayastha and Subhadra Kayastha in memory of their parents, the late Agnilal and the late Bishnumaya, and their brother, the late Ramesh Kayastha.
He also inaugurated the newly constructed Saraswati Temple, assembly hall, and truss building.
Principal Presents Annual Progress Report and Future Plans
Principal Maniram Kadel presented the annual progress report and shared details of the school’s future plans. He expressed commitment to arrange transportation for students in the future and to prioritize technology-friendly teaching and learning.
Goodwill Messages from Guests
Goodwill remarks were delivered by senior education officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City Badrinath Subedi, Chairperson of Gandaki Province Hospital Rishiram Jamarkattel, ward members Binodprasad Lamichhane and Uma Pariyar, and Vice Chairperson of Lekhnath Community Savings and Credit Cooperative Institution Krishna Tiwari, among others.
Endowment Funds Established and Increased
During the ceremony, school advisor Durgadatta Adhikari established an endowment fund of Rs 55,555.

Former endowment donor Bindukumari Bhandari increased the previous amount of Rs 50,000 by adding Rs 20,000, raising it to Rs 70,000.

Former teacher Amrita Tiwari established an endowment fund of Rs 10,005.
Awards, Honors, and Farewell
During the program, teacher Vedmaya Paudel and accountant Krishna Adhikari were honored under the “Shanti Basic School Honor–2082”.
Additionally, former teachers Bhagwati Sigdel, Smjhana Bastola Gautam, and Amrita Tiwari were given farewell and honored.

Cash Honors to Encourage Students

Students Kristina Paudel and Sujata Rai delivered the welcome remarks. The program was conducted by Assistant Principal Bhuvani Prasad Subedi.
