Startup & Idea Fest program will be held from 4th to 5th November 2022 Baneshwar Banquet located in Kathmandu under the initiative of Living with ICT after the program of seven provinces.
The best 12 finalists of Infodeveloper's ICT Award 2022 will participate in the event along with those chosen from all seven provinces.
Apart from this, innovation and rocket science camps developed by students of various colleges are also being organized. More than 100 startups and innovations will exhibit their products in the 2-day long fest.
Free entry to the Startup and Idea Fest has been arranged. Rajan Lamsal, the coordinator of the event, said that after the successful completion of Startup and Idea Fest in all seven provinces to promote the startup ecosystem, it is going to be organized in Kathmandu as well.
The organizers hope that this program will attract the attention of the government and stakeholders to prioritize investment in start-ups and innovation.
According to the organizers, activities such as steam camp, job fair, AI and emerging technology, gaming competition, investment opportunities, meeting with entrepreneurs and investors, robotics, drones, and AI/VR will be held in the fest.
The Squid of Changemaker and Innovate Ghar Nepal have collaborated for STEAM Camp. More than 10,000 people are expected to watch the 2-day festival.
In the seventh edition of the ICT Awards, which started in 2016, awards are being distributed in 12 categories. This year the award received more than 400 applications. A jury committee of 13 members and an advisory committee of 15 members are working on the selection of the award.
Mentoring and orientation sessions were held for the best 12 contestants in the startup, product, and rising star categories of the ICT Awards only on Wednesday.
Similarly, a 3-day Bootcamp is being conducted from Tuesday to Thursday for more than 40 excellent startups and ideas selected from the Startup and Idea Fest organized in seven provinces. The Grand Finale of the ICT Awards will be held on the 23es of December at The Soaltee Kathmandu.
