Nepal Railway Company Limited (नेपाल रेल्वे कम्पनी लिमिटेड) is a government-owned public limited institution. Nepal Railway central office is located in Janakpurdham, Janakpur, Dhanusha. Nepal Railway Company has been established to operate railway services and it will be managed and operated through the Nepal Railway Company. Janakpur-Jayanagar railway service is about to come into operation. Other places are under construction and study. In the first phase, the Janakpur-Jayanagar section will be operational.
The overall goal of the railway sector is to build and expand the public railway service to the international community in a safe, reliable and efficient manner and to increase the social and economic development of the country by making the service world class by operating and managing it in a timely and appropriate manner.
