Health and Food Hygiene Ministry Directs 23 Continuously Absent Employees to Submit Clarification Within 15 Days
The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, has issued a notice directing 23 employees who have remained continuously absent from their respective offices for a long period without approved leave to submit their clarification. The Ministry has instructed the employees concerned to submit their clarification within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice.
According to the notice, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the employees because they were found to have remained continuously absent for 60 days without approved leave under Section 74(1)(j) of the Nepal Health Service Act, 2053.
The Ministry has asked them to explain why the departmental punishment of removal from service, without disqualifying them from future employment in the Health Service, should not be imposed under Section 72(b)(1) of the same Act.
