AEPC to Distribute Electric Cookstoves to Endangered Indigenous Nationality and Dalit Students
The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC), under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Government of Nepal, has invited applications to provide electric cookstoves to students from endangered indigenous nationalities and the Dalit community. The Centre published a notice on 2083/06/03, calling for online applications to be submitted by 2:00 PM on Asoj 8.
According to the notice, the program has been introduced to provide relief from problems related to the availability of LP gas in Kathmandu Valley, increase the consumption of domestically produced clean energy, and promote electric cookstoves. Under the program, electric cookstoves will be provided to 300 students from endangered indigenous nationalities and the Dalit community who have come to Kathmandu Valley from outside the Valley, are living in rented accommodation, and are studying at the bachelor's or master's level.
Application Process and Required Documents
Interested students must complete the online form through https://mis.aepc.gov.np:1415/ and upload the required documents. Applications from students who complete only the online form without submitting the required documents will not be included in the selection process.
The following documents must be submitted with the application:

Copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate

Recommendation from the educational institution and a copy of the student identity card. The format for the educational institution's recommendation can be downloaded from the Centre's website, www.aepc.gov.np.

Copy of an identity card showing membership in an endangered indigenous nationality or the Dalit community, or a recommendation from the concerned authority
Selection Priority and Conditions

Priority in selection will be given to students who submit a recommendation from the concerned authority or local level confirming their financially disadvantaged status and who are studying at government or community educational institutions.

Requests from students who have previously received an electric cookstove from the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre will be automatically rejected.
