Ashish Bista Sets Seven Academic World Records

Kathmandu: Ashish Bista, a person of Nepali origin living in Perth, Australia, has set seven world records at once in postgraduate and professional academic achievement.

The London-based World Book of Records has granted him official recognition for these records. With this, he has become the person with the highest number of academic honors in the world.

Bista’s seven separate records are related to professional recognition, multidisciplinary expertise, and completing degrees within a short period. The World Book of Records has also recognized him as the world’s most honored chartered accountant and the astrologer with the highest number of academic qualifications.

Three of his records have also received the high-category Certificate of Eminence recognition.

Main Academic Achievements

His key academic achievements are as follows:

  • Obtained five advanced degrees from four countries in 6 years and 6 months

  • Completed four advanced degrees in 40 months

  • Obtained three advanced degrees, including a master’s degree and a doctorate in two different fields, within 1 year and 6 months

  • Completed a doctorate and a master’s degree simultaneously in 17 months

For the verification of these rare achievements, his academic certificates, professional qualifications, and independent legal review were examined for months.

Qualifications and Academic Journey

Bista’s qualifications include a doctorate and master’s degree in astrology, an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the United Kingdom, a master’s degree in accounting from Australia, and ACCA’s higher membership level, FCCA.

His academic journey extends across four countries: Nepal, India, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

After staying away from formal education for 10 years, Bista resumed his studies and completed ACCA in just over two years. He then went on to earn these higher degrees.

Speaking about his success, he said, “Returning to studies after a decade was not easy. But I believed that if I focused on hard work, the results would come on their own.”

His seven records at the postgraduate and professional levels have surpassed the number of previously recorded academic world records at the secondary level.

Currently working as a researcher and educator, he is connected with international audiences on social media through subjects related to education, finance, and astrology. Various media outlets around the world have given priority coverage to Bista’s record.
