Nepal Proposes Cooperation with Finland on School Education Reform
Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has proposed cooperation with the Government of Finland for school education reform.
During a courtesy meeting held on Thursday between Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel and Finland’s Ambassador to Nepal, Petri Puhakka, Finland expressed its commitment to continue the support it has been providing to Nepal’s education sector for the next five years.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Education, Minister Pokharel proposed cooperation to benefit from Finland’s education system, which is considered one of the highest-quality systems in the world.
He noted that Nepal and Finland have always maintained cordial and good relations and thanked the Government of Finland for its support in Nepal’s development, especially in the education sector.
On the occasion, Minister Pokharel informed the ambassador about the Government of Nepal’s priorities and upcoming programs. He also expressed the expectation of continued support in education and other sectors in the coming days.
