Bagmati Province Government Invites Applications for STEAM Learning Material Development

The Education Development Directorate, Hetauda, under the Ministry of Social Development of the Bagmati Province Government, has published a notice regarding the submission of applications for the development of STEAM learning materials. The Directorate issued the notice in accordance with the approved annual program for the fiscal year 2082/083.

According to the notice first published on 28 Chaitra 2082 (2082.12.28), the main objective of the Directorate is to organize a competition among students studying in Grades 9 to 12 at the school level and engage them in creative work related to the development of STEAM materials.

Competition Theme and Criteria

The theme of this year’s competition has been set as the development of “STEAM learning materials used in Grades 4–8 at the school level.”

The materials to be developed must focus on any one of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics. In addition, the material must be capable of facilitating the knowledge and skills of the remaining subjects in an integrated manner and should help support the implementation of STEAM education in Grades 4–8.

Application Process and Deadline

The program will be conducted in two phases. Students interested in participating in the competition must complete the following process and submit their applications:

Deadline: Within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication of the notice (2082.12.28).

Application Format: In the format specified in clauses (a) and (b) of Schedule 2 of the prescribed procedure.

Submission Method: All required documents must be certified, scanned, and converted into a PDF file, then sent via email to edd.bagamati@gmail.com. Applications may also be submitted in person at the Directorate.

The notice issued by the Acting Director General states that the procedure related to this program and detailed information are available on the official website of the Education Development Directorate at www.edd.bagamati.gov.np. All concerned students and stakeholders have been requested to obtain further information through that website.
