
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, distributed scholarships to 40 students from four schools and provided educational supply bags and sports materials to 1,000 students.
Beneficiary Schools and Scholarship Details
He awarded scholarships of NPR 10,000 each to 40 students from the following schools:

Shanischare Secondary School, Arjundhara–6
Ten students from each school received the scholarship during events held yesterday and today.

These students received 19 types of educational materials.
Inauguration of New School Building
The Ambassador also inaugurated a new two-storey, four-room building at Shukraraj Basic School, constructed with NPR 50,000 support from the Chinese Embassy.
Commitment to Continued Educational Cooperation
Ambassador Chen Song emphasized that China’s development has been possible because of education. He expressed a commitment to future cooperation in Nepal’s education sector. Recalling Nepal–China relations, he noted that after the 2015 earthquake, China supported the construction of ten school buildings across Nepal.
Local Government Appreciation
Mayor of Birtamod Municipality, Pavitra Mahatara Prasai, thanked the Chinese Embassy for its contribution to infrastructure, agriculture, and education in Jhapa. She also laid the foundation stone for the new building of Devkota Basic School, which will be constructed with the Embassy’s support.

Promotion of Local Products
He visited enterprises producing items from bamboo, cane, and areca nut leaves in Arjundhara and Birtamod. He expressed willingness to support the marketing of these products in China.
