Kathmandu University Invites Private Colleges for Affiliation - Call for Letter of Intent

Kathmandu University has announced that it will grant affiliation to private colleges in specific academic programs. The Office of the Registrar has issued a notice calling for Letters of Intent from interested institutions.

Purpose of Affiliation

This move aims to expand student access to quality higher education under the university’s various schools, including:

• School of Arts

• School of Education

• School of Engineering

• School of Management

• School of Medical Sciences

Affiliation will be granted for selected programs within these faculties.

Eligible Programs for Affiliation

Private colleges can apply for affiliation in the following subjects:

• Environmental Studies

• Social Work

• B.Tech in AI and IT

• Health Informatics

• Information Technology

• Hospitality Management

Application Deadline

Interested colleges must submit all required documents by Ashad 10.

Eligibility Criteria

• Colleges within Bagmati Province and all other provinces are eligible.

• Medical colleges outside Bagmati Province must be recognized by Kathmandu University to apply.

Colleges must submit the following details:

• Operation permit

• Academic profile

• Financial information

• Infrastructure details

• Legal registration documents

• Information on academic and administrative staff

Application Deposit

A deposit of NPR 50,000 is required to apply for affiliation.
