Editor Society Nepal to Present Govinda Viyogi Journalism Award 2082
Editor Society Nepal has decided to present this year’s Govinda Viyogi Journalism Award 2082 to Dr. Jagat Nepal, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus.
The decision was made by a meeting of Editor Society Nepal held on Sunday. The award was established in memory of the founding chairperson and senior journalist Govinda Viyogi. The award includes a certificate and a cash prize of NPR 25,001.
Govinda Viyogi Special Journalism Awards
Editor Society Nepal has also decided to present the Govinda Viyogi Special Journalism Award to the following individuals:

Chandani Hamal, a journalist of Gorkhapatra Daily, for her ongoing writing focused on environmental conservation and reducing the impacts of climate change.

Rajendra Manandhar, a columnist of the weekly “Shukrava:ya Tansapau” and co-coordinator of the Nepal Bhasa page of Gorkhapatra’s multilingual page “Naya Nepal,” for his continued contribution to journalism through Nepal Bhasa.
The cash prize for this award is NPR 15,001 per recipient.
Editor Society Nepal Honors 2082
The Society has also decided to honor senior journalists Sharachandra Basti and Sudarshan Acharya with the Editor Society Nepal Honor for this year.
Award presentation program
According to the press release of Editor Society Nepal, the awards will be presented on Saturday, Magh 3, at the Govinda Viyogi Journalism Study Center, the organization’s own building, during a formal program.
