National Education Improvement Program Implementation 2082

Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Education and Human Resource Development Center (School Education Standard Determination Section), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, official notice regarding the implementation of the National Education Improvement Program.

In reference to the subject matter, under the approved annual program for Fiscal Year 2082/83, budget sub-heading no. 35000109 (National Education Improvement Program), activity no. 11.6.9.13, the budget has been allocated under the Capital Grant heading for physical infrastructure construction in schools having more than 1,500 students in Terai-Madhesh, more than 700 students in the Hills, and more than 300 students in the Mountain region, as per the Master Plan.

For the implementation of the allocated budget, based on the updated details of the physical survey submitted by schools through EMIS in accordance with the notices published by this Center on 2082/04/15, 2082/04/26, and 2082/05/15, and as per the approved Master Plan (Honorable Minister-level) of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology dated 2082/08/15, it is requested—according to the decision dated 2082/09/29—to complete the physical construction work in the schools prioritized by the Master Plan (as per the attached list), as mentioned below.

Details

Under the approved annual program for Fiscal Year 2082/83, budget sub-heading no. 35000109 (National Education Improvement Program), activity no. 11.6.9.13, to implement the budget allocated under the Capital Grant heading for physical infrastructure construction in schools having more than 1,500 students in Terai-Madhesh, more than 700 students in the Hills, and more than 300 students in the Mountain region (as per the Master Plan), each school shall implement the program through the local level based on the authority provided, in accordance with the approved Master Plan and based on the updated physical survey details submitted through IEMIS.

While carrying out (or selecting) physical construction work in schools based on the Master Plan, the local level is requested to ensure there is no duplication in distribution in the following schools:

  • Schools included under the School Physical Construction Grant activity with local level partnership, based on point no. 2.13.16 of the Program Implementation Procedure for FY 2082/83 issued earlier by this Center

  • Model schools

  • Large schools

  • Schools already included for infrastructure construction by federal, provincial, and local levels, and by other organizations/institutions

The details of the schools selected as per the approved Master Plan for implementing the budget allocated under the Capital Grant heading for physical infrastructure construction in schools (having more than 1,500 students in Terai-Madhesh, more than 700 students in the Hills, and more than 300 students in the Mountain region) under the National Education Improvement Program, activity no. 11.6.9.13, have been attached herewith.

The allocated budget has been provided for the construction of a 4-room school building at the following rates:

  • Mountain districts: NPR 65 lakh

  • Hill districts: NPR 60 lakh

  • Terai districts: NPR 55 lakh
    Accordingly, it is requested to proceed as per the same.
