Election Commission Commission calls for one-minute videos for voter education
Kathmandu, February 10, 2026 [2082 Magh 27].
The Election Commission, Nepal, has published a notice on a TikTok video competition under election promotion and voter education for the election for Members of the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5, 2026 [2082 Falgun 21].
The Commission launched the competition with the call: “Make a TikTok video, win Rs 50,000.”
What participants must submit
According to the notice, participants must create a TikTok video of up to one minute, based on topics such as:

election promotion
-
election code of conduct
-
voter education
Participants must post the video on their own TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube accounts (channels).
Participants must send the video to the Commission’s official email address, tiktok@ecn.gov.np, between February 15 and March 1, 2026 [2082 Falgun 3 to 17].
Selection and prizes
Among the videos received by the Commission, the top three videos with the highest number of views will be awarded.
The Commission stated that the following cash prizes and certificates will be provided:

First: Rs 50,000 and a certificate

Second: Rs 30,000 and a certificate

Third: Rs 20,000 and a certificate
Competition conditions
The following conditions have been set for the competition:

The video must be prepared in the context of the House of Representatives Member Election, 2082.

The video must be dialogue-based and message-oriented. Videos featuring the participant’s own original audio and acting will be given special priority.

For the video, participants may choose topics such as general information on elections, the need and importance of elections, the correct method of stamping the ballot paper, compliance with the election code of conduct, voters’ rights and duties, and candidate selection.

A person may submit only one video on one topic. Two or more people may also jointly produce a video.

The Commission will hold full rights over the submitted videos, and the Commission may broadcast them through its social media platforms.

Videos that do not comply with the stated conditions, and videos received after the deadline, will not be included in the competition.

The selection of the best video will be made by independent experts and the Commission.
