General Nursing Program to Begin for Grade 12 Graduates

A General Nursing program will be introduced for students who have completed Grade 12 to strengthen the supply of human resources in the health sector.

According to the government’s policy and program for fiscal year 2082/83, students who have passed Grade 12 are eligible to enroll in General Nursing. Currently, students can pursue PCL Nursing after SEE. The Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) and three-year and four-year BSc Nursing programs are available at the bachelor's level.

Health Insurance Services to be Restructured

The government plans to restructure the health insurance program during fiscal year 2082/83 to make it more accessible and reliable. This restructuring aims to make the system sustainable. All support and subsidy programs in the health sector will be integrated into the health insurance system.

National Neuroscience Treatment Center to Be Established

The government will establish a National Neuroscience Treatment Center, which will focus on identifying, treating, and rehabilitating diseases related to the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and mental health.

Cancer and Kidney Treatment Services to Expand in Provinces

The government intends to expand cancer and kidney treatment services to the provincial level. According to the policy and program, the Federal Health Service Act and the National Quality Authority Act will be introduced.

Revision of Health Insurance Benefits for Serious Illness

The government will revise the health insurance scheme's benefit package to cover the treatment of serious illnesses. It plans to restructure the Health Insurance Board and include basic and essential medicines under the insurance system.

Integration of Social Security Programs in Healthcare

Currently, scattered social security programs related to healthcare will be unified and made more effective. Special programs will be developed to improve the treatment and rescue of pregnant and postpartum women in remote areas.

Free Healthcare for Senior Citizens

The government will implement a program to provide free healthcare services for senior citizens.

Reservation in Medical Services for Marginalized Communities

The government has announced a medical services reservation system for oppressed groups and communities.

Free Cancer Treatment for Children Under 14

The government will arrange to provide free cancer treatment services for children under 14 as part of its policy and program.

Federal Health Service Act for Human Resource Management

The government will introduce the Federal Health Service Act to manage human resources in the health sector and ensure quality services.
