The government has decided to start the new academic session of 2079 BS from Jestha 1. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Deepak Sharma said on Wednesday that the ministry has made a decision in this regard; It has been decided that the process including admission will be completed in the coming April and the study will start from Jeshta 1 and end within the year 2079 BS.

The new academic session has started in 2078 Ashad. From the last Mangsir, only reading was being done in physical presence. Educational institutions closed for another month due to the new variant of Covid-19 Omicron. Educational institutions have become regular again from Sunday.

He said that the ministry has approved the educational plan to continue the current academic session till the end of Chaitra, conduct examinations for all classes up to class 10 in Baishakh, make the results public, start a new admission process and manage the textbooks. "It has been decided that the local level should complete the Class VIII examination in Baishakh in a way that is favorable for them," he said.

Meanwhile, Janak Shiksha Samagri is busy printing textbooks. A new curriculum for class 9 is being implemented in the coming academic session. For this, only two out of the five compulsory textbooks have been made available to printed education (PRC) public education. Janak Shiksha will print the ballot papers for the local level election to be held in 2079 Baishakh.

Managing Director of Janak Shiksha Anil Jha said that even if ballot papers were to be printed, it would not affect the printing of textbooks; "We are waiting for him as we have not received PRC in some subjects. If received at that time, we can print and distribute textbooks by mid-Baishakh. ”
