Hetauda Invites Municipal Anthem Compositions Within 15 Days

Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has initiated the process of preparing a “Municipal Anthem” that reflects the city’s social, cultural, geographical, religious, historical, and industrial identity and distinctive characteristics.

In accordance with the annual program approved by the Municipal Assembly and the decision of the Municipal Executive dated 2083.04.20, the Sub-Metropolitan City has invited interested creators, writers, and Nepali citizens to submit compositions for the municipal anthem.

Interested individuals must submit their compositions in a sealed envelope within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice (2083.04.21).

Conditions and Criteria for the Municipal Anthem

  • Content: The municipal anthem must incorporate Hetauda’s social, economic, geographical, religious, historical, industrial, environmental, and archaeological identity and distinctive characteristics.

  • Structure: The anthem must contain one refrain and two verses. Its total duration must not exceed 2 minutes.

  • Originality: The composition must be entirely original and unpublished. Any composition found to resemble another work or violate copyright will automatically be disqualified.

  • Prize: The composition selected as the best by the selection committee will receive an appropriate cash prize in accordance with the Sub-Metropolitan City’s rules.

  • Evaluation: The submitted compositions will be evaluated by a committee formed in accordance with the procedure approved by Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.

  • Ownership: The full copyright and all ownership rights of the selected municipal anthem will remain vested in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City. The city may modify the words or arrange the music as required.

  • Legal basis: Other provisions relating to the process will be governed by the “Procedure for the Development of the Logo and Municipal Anthem for Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City Tourism Year 2083.”

Submission Process and Required Documents

  • The proposed municipal anthem must be clearly typed in the Nepali language using the Devanagari script and submitted in a sealed envelope.

  • The outside of the envelope must clearly state: “Municipal Anthem Composition Proposal.”

  • The submission must include:

    • A copy of the creator’s Nepali citizenship certificate

    • One recently taken passport-size photograph

    • A contact phone number or email address

Submission Location and Deadline

Interested applicants must register their submissions with the General Administration Section of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City within office hours on the 15th day from the date of publication of the notice.

If the final day falls on a public holiday, the proposal may be submitted on the next day the office reopens.
