ISO Certification Exam for Welding Begins at Kathmandu University

The ISO certification exam for Welding has commenced at the Technical Training Center of Kathmandu University (KU). The examination is being conducted by KU and Kwang M Skill Development Center of South Korea in Nepal. The training and certification program will produce skilled manpower for the international level.

71 Examinees Participate in the Exam

Ganeshman Lama, the ISO certification exam coordinator of Kwang M Skill Development Center, informed that 71 examinees from different parts of Nepal, working in the field of Welding, participated in the exam. The examinees received training from a Korean trainer before participating in the exam.

Practical Exam to be Held on Tuesday and Wednesday

The practical exam for the certification will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. After passing the exam, the examinees can work anywhere in the world. The results of the exam will be published by the Welding ISO South Asia Headquarters (IQCS) in South Korea. A team of 4 members has come to Nepal to conduct the exam.

Meeting with KU Vice-Chancellor Held Before Exam

Before conducting the exam, the team of Kwang M, head of South Asia Welding ISO headquarters, had a meeting with KU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa. In the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of conducting the exam in a quality and dignified manner.

ISO Certification Examination and Training Center to Fulfill KU's Objective

Dr. Ram Lama, academic industrial coordinator of KU, stated that the ISO certification examination and training center will help to fulfill KU's objective of producing skilled manpower.

Age and Training Requirements for ISO Certification

Individuals between 20 to 50 years of age are allowed to participate in the Welding ISO certification exam preparation training. To obtain the ISO certificate, the examinees need to undergo welding training for at least 6 months.

Monthly ISO Certification Exam to be Conducted

Purnalal Shrestha, chairman of Kwang M Skill Development Center, announced that the ISO certification exam would be conducted every month. 50 to 100 people can be trained every month, and the certification exam of ISO will be conducted directly in the month.

In conclusion, the ISO certification exam for Welding at KU is an essential step towards producing skilled manpower in the field. With the monthly exams and training programs, more individuals can be trained and certified to work anywhere in the world.
