Jaimini Municipality-1 Enhances Educational Experience with Laptop Distribution
In an impactful stride towards integrating technology in education, the ward office of Jaimini Municipality-1, Baglung, has taken a commendable step by providing laptops to five community schools within the ward. This initiative is aimed at fostering a technology-friendly environment in schools, thereby enhancing the teaching and learning experience.
Targeted Support for Primary Schools
Under the leadership of Ward President Bishnu Acharya, this initiative focuses on primary level schools, equipping them with laptops to aid in technology-driven education. The selection of schools for this program was based on specific requests from the schools, recognizing the need for portable technology that can support both in-class learning and outdoor practical activities.
The schools benefiting from this program include Kushmi Primary School, Siddiganesh Primary School, Janachetana Primary School, Saraswati Primary School, and Jaimini Primary School. During a ceremony at the ward office, Khem Acharya, the city education officer, officially handed over the laptops to the principals of these schools.
Future Plans for Educational Enhancement
Ward President Acharya also mentioned that Shanti Secondary School and Pallopakha Community Secondary School would be included in future initiatives, signaling a broader vision for educational support within the ward. This gesture of distributing laptops, which were acquired at a cost of 70,000 per unit, is part of a larger budget allocation of 350,000 set aside for this purpose in the current financial year.
Emphasizing the importance of integrating technology in education, Ward President Acharya stated, "At least technical subjects can be taught through projectors, and students can use technology in teaching and learning. This is the beginning; we will make the rest of the program based on its results." This statement underlines the ward's commitment to evaluating the impact of this initiative and expanding its scope based on the outcomes.
