
Book Launch of 'Janani Punj' by Dr. Januka Nepal
The story collection titled Janani Punj, written by Dr. Januka Nepal/Paudel, Principal of Nilbarahi Secondary School, was officially launched on Saturday at Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
About the Author
This is the second story collection by Dr. Nepal. Her previous work titled Tanuja has already been published. Dr. Januka Nepal (Vidya Varidhi) is a well-known figure in the field of Nepali language, literature, and education.
She was born in Kavre in 2026 BS and currently resides in Bhaktapur. As the Principal of Nilbarahi Secondary School, she has made notable contributions to the education sector.
Focus of the Story Collection
Janani Punj is centered on the strength and contribution of women. However, it is not written solely for or about women in isolation. Rather, the collection reflects the bitter realities and lived experiences of women, analyzing their genuine roles and efforts in helping men succeed and establish themselves in life.
The stories focus on significant and representative female figures from the Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, and Dwapar Yuga.
Publisher and Launch Event
The collection was published by Bhunipuran Prakashan. The launch event was chaired by Mr. Keshav Parajuli, Head of Bhunipuran Prakashan, and graced by the Minister for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Badri Pandey, as the chief guest.
