Foundation Stone Laid for New Building of Shree Janata Secondary School in Gauradaha
The construction process for the new building of Shree Janata Secondary School, located in Gauradaha Municipality-1, Jhapa, has formally begun.
Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, Counsellor Geetanjali Brandon of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Gauradaha Municipality Mayor Chhatrapati Subedi jointly laid the foundation stone of the school building at a special ceremony today.
The building is being constructed with financial assistance of around Rs. 58 million from the Government of India under a High Impact Community Development Project. Gauradaha Municipality will implement and oversee the project.
Addressing the foundation stone-laying program, Chief Minister Karki appreciated the continued support provided by the Government of India in Nepal’s education and infrastructure development.
Participants in the program expressed confidence that the new modern structure will create a quality learning environment for students and teachers in the Gauradaha area and will significantly help improve the standard of local education.
