Kaudena Rural Municipality Merges Seven Community Schools

Kaudena Rural Municipality, located in the southern region of Sarlahi, has decided to merge seven community schools with nearby schools.

The decision on school merger was passed by the 16th Village Assembly of the rural municipality, held on Monday. Rural Municipality Chairperson Rupesh Kumar (Bablu) said the decision was made on the basis of weak physical infrastructure, low numbers of teachers and students, and the very short distance between schools.

As per the decision of the Village Education Committee, the Village Assembly has approved the merger of Balwan Basic School and Tridev Gurukul Primary School of Kaudena–2 with Janata Secondary School of the same ward. Similarly, Rambriksha Primary School of Kaudena–3 has been merged with Janata Secondary School of the same ward.

Likewise, Janata Primary School and Community Primary School of Kaudena–4 have been merged with Saraswati Basic School. Radhakrishna Primary School of Kaudena–5 has been merged with Ramjanaki Primary School, and Community Primary School of Kaudena–7 has been merged with Janata Secondary School, Kaudena–6.

According to Suresh Prasad Das, Chief Administrative Officer of Kaudena Rural Municipality, the Village Assembly has authorized the Education Section to complete the necessary process within 15 days for the management of the physical property, inventory, and other resources of the merged schools, effective from Shrawan 1.

With the merger of seven schools, only 10 community schools will now remain in Kaudena Rural Municipality.

Meanwhile, in the 16th Village Assembly held on Monday, a budget of Rs. 40 crore 14 lakh 19 thousand was presented for the upcoming fiscal year, giving priority to education, agriculture, physical infrastructure, roads, and the health sector.
