Laptops have been handed over to all the teachers of Satkanya Secondary School in Melamchi Municipality-9, Ratmata. Under the President's Educational Reform Program, laptops have been provided to teachers from the budget of Rs. 650,000 allocated to the school in the fiscal year 2077/78 BS.
Janak Adhikari, the principal of the school, informed that one laptop each was handed over to 15 teachers with 70 percent cost borne from the allocated amount and 30 percent was borne by the teachers.
Ward Chairman of Ward No. 9 Kamal Bahadur Khadka handed over the laptop to the teacher during a program on Friday.
He said that technology-friendly teaching and learning will be conducted within the next year by imparting necessary training to all the teachers in each classroom using the audio-visual medium.
