Magdi Post Office Awards Letter-Writing Competition Winners

Magdi District Post Office Awards Winners of Letter-Writing Competition

Magdi District Post Office has awarded students who wrote the best letters with cash prizes. The award distribution ceremony was organized at the Post Office on Thursday, where the winning students were presented with cash prizes and certificates.

The Post Office organized the letter-writing competition for secondary-level students with the objective of raising awareness among the younger generation about the importance of postal services and letter writing.

Prize Winners and Cash Awards

  • First Place: Seema Budhamagar, Grade 12 student at Magdi Multiple Campus – Cash Prize: NPR 7,000 + Certificate

  • Second Place: Eliska Khatri, Grade 9 student at Prakash Secondary School, Beni – Cash Prize: NPR 4,000 + Certificate

  • Third Place: Riyasa Jisi, Grade 12 student at New West Point Residential Secondary School – Cash Prize: NPR 2,500 + Certificate

Event Highlights

According to Magdi District Post Office Chief Ramesh Thapa, 16 students from institutional and community schools in Magdi participated in the competition. The cash prizes and certificates were distributed by Chief Thapa and Hari Krishna Gautam, President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Magdi Chapter, along with other dignitaries.

Purpose of the Competition

The competition was held under the theme “How Can We Make Our Post Office Better?” to create awareness about postal services. Participating students wrote handwritten letters, affixed a NPR 10 postage stamp, and sent them through their respective Post Offices, including the district office, additional post offices, and municipal post offices.

Chief Thapa expressed hope that this initiative will help make postal services more reliable, teach students the importance of postage stamps and letters, and develop their letter-writing skills and creativity in today’s era of modern information technology.
