Ministry of Home Affairs Publishes Urgent Notices for All: Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Considering the recent rapid spread of Covid-19, one of the recommendations of the meeting of Covid-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center dated 2078-09-25 regarding the prevention and control of Covid-19 has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs for implementation. There is a request as per the decision order sent as per the decision of the Government of Nepal (Hon'ble Minister level).

The following

1) To call for not holding all kinds of political, public and administrative, social and similar programs in public places. Arrangements will be made to carry out urgent regular programs with the permission of the local administration. Necessary arrangements will be made to prevent fairs, gatherings, and festivals from gathering more than 25 people in public places until further notice. The district can analyze the situation of its district and local level and make the situation flexible or even strict.

2) When entering public places (offices, hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, theaters, airplanes, parks, etc.), it is mandatory to carry an anti-covid vaccine card (even if there is a photo on the mobile) and to make arrangements for those bodies to enter only by looking at the vaccine card. All DCMCs will make necessary arrangements for the implementation of this Magha 7th.

3) To make the vaccination card mandatory to get public service from 7th Magha 2078.

4) To make the work of antigen testing more effective at the Nepal entry point and to make necessary arrangements for the DCMC to coordinate the immediate institutional isolation (holding center, hotel, etc.) of those found infected with such test.

5) Necessary facilitation to establish free antigen test warehouses in public places and to carry out a vaccination campaign in regular vaccination centers.

6) To clarify the orders issued by the Government of Nepal on 2078/08/13 and 2078/09/08 while issuing Travel Advisory from the Immigration Department are as follows.

A) The boarding pass will be issued by the concerned airline for the entry of Nepal from abroad to the passenger who is fully vaccinated and has PCR negative within 72 hours from the issuance of the boarding pass.

B) Quarantine only in case of Nepalese citizens, diplomatic and official passport holders, or residency holders coming to Nepal from 9 (nine) countries including South Africa who have been identified for the first time transitioning to the new Omicron variant of Covid-19. And the provision of isolation will be implemented.

7) To coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs while issuing travel advisory information by the Immigration Department. To make arrangements to be implemented only after the fixed date, time, and duration issued in such notice.

8) The Chief District Officers will take initiative to make the implementation of Smart Lockdown Procedure 2078 and Integrated COVID-19 Prevention, Control, and Treatment Action Plan, 2078 more effective for risk control considering the local situation of COVID-19 infection.
