Narada Adarsh Secondary School Udayapur Installed a Statue of Founder Late Naradamuni Thulung Rai

A statue (shalik) of founder Late Naradamuni Thulung Rai has been installed at Narada Adarsh Secondary School, Udayapur, Basaha. A statue of the founder Rai has been installed in the courtyard of the school located in Barkhedanda, Chaudandigarhi Municipality 4 of the district.

Headmaster Kaviraj Tamang said that a 6-foot-high statue of fiber was constructed. According to Professor Tamang, the statue was built from the internal resources of the school to honor the founder. The newly installed Shalik was unveiled by Kaluman Lama, Mayor of Chaudandigadi, in the middle of a program.

On the occasion of the school's 28th Parents' Day, Mayor Lama, who was the chief guest, unveiled the Shalik on the occasion of the conclusion of the 3-day program held on 25th, 26th and 27th of 2079 Mangsir. On the occasion of the parent meeting, the school has also organized a clean-up, city-level attendance answer competition and women's and men's volleyball competition.

Gautam Rai, chairman of the school management committee, said that in 2007, Thulung, a revolution warrior, established the school by clearing the then dense forest and settling hundreds of houses in Basaha at once. President Rai said that his Shalik was established in memory of the school for the education of the children of the new slum dwellers who had been uprooted.

According to Rai, Thulung is regarded with great respect in the area. He said that for the sake of honor, a statue of him was built in the school yard for remembrance. According to him, the name of the school has been kept as 'Narad Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya' out of respect.

The campus in Barkhedanda, which is connected to the school premises, is also named after Thulong. The 'Narad Adarsh Shiksha Campus' running there has been running for the past decade. Dhrub Rai, the head of the campus, said that there are currently around two hundred students studying in the campus, which offers courses up to graduation in the Faculty of Education. Chief Rai said that there is a plan to have a statue of Rai in the campus premises in the near future.

The Shalik of Thulung, which is revered and respected by the people of Basaha area, has also been built in Madan Bhandari Lokmarg at Barkhedanda Chowk. Shalik, which was established a decade ago, is currently being built on Madan Bhandari road, but the locals have demanded that another one should be built as it has reached a level of 3 feet.
