Nepal Covid-19 Update: 7368 New Cases and 145 Deaths (18th May 2021):

The coronavirus has killed 196 people in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Nepal has reached 5,411, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 8,203 people across the country in the last 24 hours. A PCR test of 20,286 samples showed an infection of 8,136 people and an antigen test of 693 samples showed a coronavirus infection in 67 people.

The total number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 472,354. Of them, 352,414 have been recovered so far, including 6,891 in the last 24 hours.

Currently, the number of active infected people across the country is 114,529. Of them, 1 lakh 7 thousand 82 are in home isolation and 7 thousand 447 are in institutional isolation. Similarly, 1,590 people are undergoing treatment in ICU and 390 in ventilator, according to the ministry.

Of the 2,635 infected people added in the last 24 hours, they are from Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 2,049 are from Kathmandu, 365 from Lalitpur, and 221 from Bhaktapur.

According to the ministry, 1,234 people have been infected in Province 1, 515 in Province 2, 3,921 in Bagmati, 650 in Gandaki, 1,042 in Lumbini, 458 in Karnali, and 316 in Far-Western.

According to the Ministry of Health, 2,049 people have been infected in Kathmandu, 507 in Morang, 380 in Rupandehi, 365 in Lalitpur, 315 in Kavrepalanchowk, and 308 in Chitwan.

Similarly, 298 corona infections have been reported in Sunsari, 253 in Jhapa, 229 in Kaski, 221 in Bhaktapur, and 201 in Palpa.

A total of 195 corona infections have been reported in Surkhet, 191 in Dang, 145 in Dhading, 140 in Dhanusha, 133 in Saptari, 124 in Jajarkot, 109 in Nuwakot, 109 in Ramechhap, 105 in Sindhupalchowk, 105 in Gulmi, and 102 in Tanahu.

Similarly, 95 corona infections have been reported in Doti, 90 in Dolakha, 84 in Sindhuli, 80 in Syangja, 74 in Kanchanpur, 70 in Parsa, 63 in Lamjung, 60 in Gorkha, 59 in Dailekh, 55 in Nawalparasi West, 58 in Nawalparasi East and 58 in Achham.

There are 49 in Rautahat, 49 in Baitadi, 48 in Mahottari, 45 in Dhankuta, 44 in Salyan, 43 in Parbat, 39 in Dadeldhura, 37 in Arghakhanchi, 36 in Siraha, 34 in Banke, 33 in Ilam, 26 in Tehrathum, 25 in Udayapur, 25 in Bara and 25 in Taplejung.

Similarly, 18 people have been infected with a corona in Rukum West, 16 in Rasuwa, 15 in Jumla, 14 in Sarlahi, 14 in Kapilvastu, 12 in Myagdi, 11 in Bardiya, 10 in Solukhumbu, 10 in Rolpa, 9 in Kailali, 7 in Okhaldhunga and 5 in Makwanpur.

According to the ministry, 4 corona infections have been reported in Bhojpur and Pyuthan, 2 in Khotang, 2 in Baglung, 1 in Panchthar, 1 in Sankhuwasabha, 1 in Mustang, 1 in Kalikot, 1 in Mugu, and 1 in Humla.

Similarly, corona infection has been confirmed in 171 children under 9 years of age, and corona infection in 510 people under 10 to 19 years of age.
