Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8418 New Cases and 53 Deaths (8th May 2021):

In the last 24 hours, 53 people have died from corona infection across the country. Similarly, corona infection has been confirmed in 8418 people.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 17,315 samples of PCR and 989 antigens were tested. 8,287 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) during PCR testing and 131 people tested positive for antigen.

At the same time, the number of active corona infections in Nepal has reached 83,493 and the total number of infected people has reached 385,890. The number of such deaths has reached 3,632.

Of the active infected, 78,018 are in home isolation, according to the ministry. Similarly, 5 thousand 475 people are in institutional isolation. 758 infected people are being treated in ICU and 231 in the ventilator.

In the last 24 hours, 3,370 people have died in Corona. At the same time, the number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 298,765.

Of the newly infected, 3,113 are in Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 2,270 are infected in Kathmandu, 462 in Lalitpur, and 381 in Bhaktapur.

In the last 24 hours, 861 people have contracted corona in Rupandehi, 597 in Surkhet, 555 in Banke, 285 in Kaski, 276 in Jhapa, 254 in Morang, and 189 in Dang. Similarly, 157 people have been infected in Sunsari, 134 in Makwanpur, 125 in Chitwan, 116 in Dhanusha, 113 in Bardiya, 111 in Baitadi, 107 in Parsa, and 107 in Sindhuli.
