Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8520 New Cases and 203 Deaths (14th May 2021)

In the last 24 hours, an additional 8,520 people have been confirmed infected. Similarly, 203 people have died. Of the 21,478 people tested, 8,477 were infected with the PCR method and 53 with the antigen method.

At the same time, the total number of infected people in Nepal has reached 439,658. Similarly, the number of active infected is 1 lakh 7 thousand 336. Of the active infected, 98,869 are in home isolation and 8,467 are in institutional isolation. Similarly, 1,334 are in ICU, and 371 are on ventilators.

 During the same period, 6,135 people have been recovered. Of those infected in Nepal, 3 lakh 2 thousand 653 have been cured. So far, 4,669 people have died from Covid-19 infection in Nepal.

In Kathmandu Valley alone, the number of active infected has exceeded 42,000. According to the ministry, the number of infected people has reached 42,404 in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur districts alone. The highest number of infected people is 30,452 in Kathmandu, 7,061 in Lalitpur, and 4,891 in Bhaktapur.

So far, 1,58,991 corona cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu and 1,27,484 infected people have been recovered and 1,055 people have died.

Similarly, 26 thousand 883 infections have been confirmed in Lalitpur, 19 thousand 539 have been recovered and 283 people have died. In Bhaktapur, 15,903 people were infected and 10,803 were recovered from the corona, while 209 died from the corona.

According to the Ministry of Health, the highest number of corona cases has been reported in Kathmandu (2458), Lalitpur (556), Rupandehi (552), Morang (434), and Bhaktapur (335).
