Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8850 New Cases and 52 Deaths (9th May 2021)
Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 8850 people in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 18,787 PCR tests have confirmed 8,777 and 506 antigen tests have confirmed 73.
In the last 24 hours, 52 people have died due to coronavirus infection, according to the ministry. But 26 people who died of corona infection on different dates were not previously included in government figures, said ministry spokesman Dr. Jageshwor Gautam.
On Sunday, 88,160 people are active infected cases across the country. Out of which 81 thousand 430 are in home isolation and 6 thousand 730 are in institutional isolation. Similarly, 4,022 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours.
Of those added in the last 24 hours, 3,161 are from Kathmandu, 533 from Lalitpur and 504 from Bhaktapur. Thus, a total of 4,198 people were confirmed infected in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.
