Nepal Covid-19 Update: 7425 New Cases and 185 Deaths (24 May 2021)

In the last 24 hours, 185 more people have died and 7,425 have been infected with the coronavirus (Covid-19). According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 19,846 samples of PCR were tested in laboratories across the country, in which 7,220 confirmed cases, and 607 antigens tested and confirmed 205 people infected.

At the same time, the number of active infected has reached 115,447. Of them, 1 lakh 8 thousand 71 are in home isolation. 7 thousand 276 people are in institutional isolation, out of which 1697 people are undergoing treatment in ICU.

7135 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the number of people recovering from corona infection has reached 398,483. Of the 520,461 people infected so far, 6,531 have died.

According to the Ministry of Health, the highest number of corona infections has been confirmed in 1806 cases in Kathmandu, 681 in Lalitpur, 323 in Morang, 298 in Bhaktapur, and 287 in Rupandehi.

Similarly, 258 corona infections have been reported in Kaski, 242 in Makwanpur, 218 in Sunsari, 198 in Syangja, 195 in Nuwakot, 171 in Chitwan, 150 in Dhanusha, 141 in Mahottari, and 140 in Kavrepalanchok.

96 in Kailali, 89 in Lamjung, 88 in Surkhet, 87 in Dokha, 79 in Tanahun, 79 in Ramechhap, Achham, 78 in Kapilvastu, 65 in Parbat, 63 in Dhankuta, 60 in Okhaldhunga, 60 in Sindhupalchowk, 60 in Siraha, 57 in Siraha, 5 in Baitadi, 57 in Khotang, 51 in Palpa.

There are 23 corona infections in Parsa, 22 in Darchula, 19 in Arghakhanchi, 19 in Kalikot, 11 in Bhojpur, 10 in Pyuthan, 9 in Bardiya, 7 in Udayapur, and 7 in Baglung.

Similarly, 4 in Solukhumbu, 4 in Gulmi, 4 in Jumla, 3 in Tehrathum, 2 in Ilam, 2 in Taplejung, 2 in Rasuwa, 2 in Mustang, 2 in Rolpa, 2 in Jajarkot, 2 in Dolpa, 2 in Bajhang, 2 in Bajura, 1 in Rukum East, 1 in Kanchanpur and 1 in Doti.

Similarly, 173 children under the age of 9 have been found to be infected with corona, while 507 people in the age group of 10 to 19 have been confirmed infected, according to the ministry.
