Nepal Covid-19 Update: 8980 New Cases and 129 Deaths (22 May 2021):

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,980 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. In 19357 PCR test, confirmed 8591 people infected and 748 antigen tests confirmed the infection in 389 people. In the last 24 hours, 8,848 coronaviruses have been recovered. Similarly, 129 people have died from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, this number is the highest ever recovered. Earlier, 7,890 people were recovered on Friday.

In the last 24 hours, corona infection has been confirmed in 1,104 people in Province 1, 574 in Province 2, 3,873 in Bagmati, 369 in Gandaki, 1,032 in Lumbini, 616 in Karnali, and 1,023 in Sudurpashchim.

In the last 24 hours, 2,328 people have been found infected in Kathmandu Valley. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,811 cases have been confirmed in the Kathmandu district, 179 in Bhaktapur, and 338 in Lalitpur.

A total of 2,227 people have been admitted to hospitals in Kathmandu Valley due to corona infection. Of them, 1743 are in general and HDU beds and 484 are undergoing treatment in ICU. Of those being treated in the ICU, 193 are on ventilators.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 661 people have been infected in Kailali, 525 in Kavre, 353 in Surkhet, 344 in Jhapa, 325 in Morang, 255 in Rupandehi, and 187 in Makwanpur in 24 hours.

Similarly, 179 in Banke, 173 in Dhading, 166 in Kaski, 165 in Sindhupalchowk, 162 in Bara, 160 in Sunsari, 155 in Chitwan, 148 in Kanchanpur, 142 in Nuwakot, 140 in Salyan, 112 in Saptari, 109 in Dang, 107 in Palpa and 101 in Sindhuli.

There are 86 infected people in Achham, 84 in Gulmi, 81 in Rolpa, 83 in Ramechhap, 78 in Nawalparasi West, 77 in Parsa, 72 in Dailekh, 59 in Tanuha, 56 in Gorkha, 55 in Sankhuwasabha and 54 in Darchula, 52 in Kapilvastu and 52 in Bardiya.
